Why Look to the Left?

Try this: Click on this link to search Google.com for the word "revolution". The top results are about sports teams, vodka and pharmaceuticals for pets. Not very helpful. Now search Look to the Left for the same term. Very different results.

The list of sites being searched at the moment is only a couple of hundred - a couple thousand if you include all the sub-sites. We hope to expand that with your help and make the site broader in perspective. How Left is Left?

Look to the Left tries to be as inclusive as possible while remaining useful. We're not going to restrict sites from being searchable based on squabbles between factions of a given community. We aren't choosing sides although our purpose is clearly political. We are here to make all useful information available. You are responsible for sorting out what you believe and what is irrelevant. We've helped out a lot already by eliminating the corporate clutter. Please don't complain to us that we index a site that you think is too fill in the blank.
